Tomatoes with Basil salad

I love this simple but elegant recipe. It tastes like you did a lot of work but you didn't. It always makes me look good. Great salad with spaghetti and a great make ahead party dish.
  • 4 large tomatoes
  • Sea salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
  • 8 to 10 fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  1. Wash and dry tomatoes. With a sharp knife, cut tomatoes into wedges and put into salad bowl.

  2.  Season with sea salt and pepper to taste. Tear basil leaves into small pieces and add to tomatoes. Add oil and toss gently. Cover and refrigerate.
