Highly Recommended Vegetables

I was just diagnosed with hypertension. I have to put food on a very high priority list. I do eat fairly clean and this diagnoses comes as a BIG surprise to me. If any of you are in the same boat, here is a list of highly recommended veggies to consume more of.

Highly Recommended Vegetables
Asparagus Escarole
Avocado (actually a fruit)
Beet greens
Bok Choy Kale
Broccoli Kohlrabi
Brussel sprouts
Cauliflower
Celery
Chicory
Chinese cabbage
Chives
Collard greens
Cucumbers
Dandelion greens
Endive
Fennel
Green and red cabbage
Lettuce: romaine, red leaf, green leaf
Mustard greens
Onions
Parsley
Peppers: red, green, yellow and hot
Spinach
Tomatoes
Turnips
Zucchini

Use sparingly due to high carbohydrate levels
Beets Jicima
Carrots Winter Squashes
Eggplant Most fruits except for limes and lemons

Potatoes
