Ingredients:
- 4 teaspoons olive oil
- 2 medium red onions, diced
- 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
- 1 2/3 cups (13 fl ounces) ketchup
- 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 8 teaspoons brown sugar
- 4 teaspoons chili powder
- 4 teaspoons paprika
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne or red pepper
- ¼ teaspoon ground coriander
- ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon liquid GF smoke (available from good delicatessens or Tex Mex supply stores)
Directions:
- Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over a medium heat.
- Add the onion and garlic; sauté until they are transparent.
- Simmer uncovered for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Store the sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to use.
- Use your favorite GF pizza base and toss your favorite left over chicken on top with onions, mushrooms, and olives or whatever your taste-buds desire!
